Alimentari Rossi & Sons is looking for a full-time baker with artisan bread experience.

Rossi & Sons is a 40 year old family owned Poughkeepsie landmark. Voted best sandwich in New York, we are more than just an “old world” deli. We make our products in-house and operate a full service catering operation out of our Alimentari location in Eastdale Village.

We strive to perfect our slow and naturally-fermented breads and viennoiserie each day, sourcing the highest quality NY-grown grains and local ingredients. As part of our baking team your primary responsibility is to meet production deadlines and quality standards as set by the executive team, while contributing to our passionate and positive workplace culture. Requirements

• Minimum of one year professional baking or restaurant experience for top consideration.
• Possess a genuine service-oriented attitude towards co-works, clientele and our community.
• Passionate about producing world-class breads and pastries.
• Able to lift 50 pounds, stand for 8 - 10 hours, and manage ovens.

Responsibilities

• Produce artisan breads, focaccias and laminated breads.
• General food and produce prep.
• Understand the quality of product expected and strive to reach that standard.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
• Communicate thoroughly with other co-workers and leaders.
• Perform occasional small duties to aid other departments.
• Have general knowledge of the restaurant as a whole and be willing to support the entire entity.
• Assist in cleaning of production areas.
