Club Overview

Keene Trace Golf Club is a 42-Hole private golf club located in Nicholasville, KY. KTGC consists of two 18-hole championship courses (Champions and Keene Run), as well as a state of the art, 6-hole Par 3 course. In addition to golf, other amenities include a newly renovated pool complex, newly renovated clubhouse restaurant, newly renovated outdoor bar and grill, two clubhouses, fitness center, and tennis courts. Keene Trace Golf Club is privately owned, with a full membership (active waitlist) and has hosted the PGA TOUR since 2018 (Champions course).

Job Summary

The role of the Clubhouse Manager at Keene Trace Golf Club is to deliver the highest possible standard of hospitality and service across all Food and Beverage amenities. The Clubhouse Manager will oversee all front-of-house staff and collaborate with the Executive Chef to manage the daily operations of all food and beverage outlets, including the newly renovated a la carte restaurant at the Keene Run course. The Clubhouse Manager must be a “hands on” interactive leader who directly monitors the operation and mentors the staff throughout each day, delivering a high level of satisfaction in all operations and amenities.

Responsibilities

  • Manage daily operations of Keene Run a la carte restaurant, The Landing (pool bar and grill), and Champions Bar and Grill.
  • Works closely with the Executive Chef to maintain clear lines of communication between the front-of-house and back-of-house teams.
  • Works closely with the Executive Chef to develop menu ideas and discuss service plans.
  • Ensure that a consistent set of superior standards of food service meets or exceeds the expectations of members and guests at all food and beverage outlets.
  • Develop and implement ongoing service training and professional development for front-of-house staff.
  • Hire, train, manage, supervise, discipline, and schedule bartenders, servers, service assistants and housekeeping.
  • Prepare staff service plans for restaurant operation, member events, and banquets.
  • Ongoing development and promotion of beverage programming, including wine and bourbon menus.
  • Addresses member and guest complaints and advises club leadership about corrective actions.
  • Maintain the restaurant/dining portion of the club's POS system (Clubessential).
  • Review employee hours in timekeeping software for payroll processing.
  • Oversee the ordering of beverages, supplies, linens, uniforms, decorations, etc.
  • Oversee and maintain an accurate monthly inventory of beverage products.
  • Oversee and maintain an accurate inventory of china/glass/silver and other small wares.
  • Ensures departmental compliance with safety, health, security, and environmental standards.
  • Maintains appearance, upkeep, and cleanliness of all facilities and equipment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in hospitality management or combination of education and experience
  • Proven experience of leading and managing quality driven Food & Beverage operations.
  • Proven experience supervising a continuous training agenda.
  • Able to work well under pressure and balance multiple priorities and assignments.
  • Strong team building skills including the ability to lead, cooperate, motivate, and contribute.
  • A person of exceptional character; motivated, energetic, friendly, and dedicated to the profession.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
  • Sommelier certification or continuing education in wine (bourbon) is preferred.

  • Reports to the General Manager & Dir. of Sales, Marketing & Events
  • Direct reports include all front-of-house staff, Event Coordinator, and Housekeeping
