Job Description

Duties:

1. Signing all resident assessments including admission assessment, 30-day, routine bi-annual, change in condition, return from hospital/rehab reassessments.
2. Review and signing the Resident Assessment Tool including review of medications orders for new move-ins and subsequent review of Physician Order Sheets on timing of assessments as assessments are completed.
3. Ensuring Resident Assessment Tool and Maryland Individual Service Plan contain consistent assessment and documentation.
4. Review and sign all completed 45-day assessments.
5. Assessing resident who self-administer medications on quarterly basis or change in condition or return from hospital/rehab.
6. Reviewing clinical documentation in MAR electronic health records and paper resident medical records as well as review and initialing of completed incident and accident reports.
7. Review and signing of Resident Assistance Orientation Checklists for all non-certified caregivers.
8. Performing quarterly Medication Pass Observations on LPNs and Med Techs.
9. Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

1. RN currently licensed by the State of Maryland.  Must have  Delegating Nurse designation.
2. Two years’ experience in geriatric nursing. Participation in professional organizations a plus.
