Description We are looking for a skilled Medical Receptionist to join our team in Pine Bluff, Arkansas. This is a Contract position with the potential for long-term stability and growth. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in ensuring smooth administrative operations while delivering exceptional service to patients. Responsibilities: - Verify patients' medical insurance coverage and ensure accurate documentation. - Handle prior authorization requests promptly and maintain compliance with healthcare regulations. - Manage patient scheduling efficiently, coordinating appointments and resolving conflicts as needed. - Greet patients and visitors warmly, ensuring a welcoming environment in the reception area. - Answer phone calls professionally, addressing inquiries or redirecting to appropriate personnel. - Maintain patient records with a high level of accuracy and confidentiality. - Assist in coordinating with medical staff to ensure seamless office operations. - Process payments and provide receipts to patients as required. - Address patient concerns or escalate issues to the appropriate department when necessary. Requirements - Proven experience in medical insurance verification and prior authorization processes. - Strong background in patient scheduling, with an ability to manage multiple appointments effectively. - Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for interacting with patients and medical staff. - Proficiency in using medical office software and basic computer applications. - Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive patient information with confidentiality. - High level of organizational skills and attention to detail. - Familiarity with medical terminology and healthcare procedures. - Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism.
