This role is for an Operating Room Registered Nurse responsible for providing skilled nursing care in a Level 1 Trauma Center. The RN will perform a variety of duties including scrubbing and circulating during surgical procedures across multiple specialties. The position requires strong clinical skills, collaboration with the surgical team, and adherence to established protocols within a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:
- Performing scrub and circulating duties during surgical procedures.
- Providing pre- and post-operative patient care.
- Assisting the surgical team with instrumentation and supplies.
- Monitoring patient vital signs and reporting any changes to the surgical team.
- Maintaining a sterile surgical field.
- Documenting patient care accurately and completely in Cerner.
- Collaborating with other members of the healthcare team.
- Floating to other facilities within the system as needed.
- Adhering to all hospital policies and procedures.
Required Skills & Certifications:
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Minimum of two years of recent acute care experience in an operating room setting.
- Experience in a Level 1 Trauma Center.
- Strong scrub and circulate skills.
- Experience in Ortho, Ortho Trauma, Vascular, Urology, and General Surgery.
- BLS certification.
Preferred Skills & Certifications:
- Experience in Neurosurgery (crani and spine), Open Heart/Thoracic, Ophthalmology, ENT, Bariatric, and Gynecology.
Special Considerations:
- Mandatory float pool participation across facilities.
- On-call requirement: One 12-hour shift per month on a Saturday or Sunday.
- Weekend requirement: Every other weekend.
- Maximum of 5 days of RTO per month, with no more than 2 consecutive days. No RTO on weekends, holidays, or the day before/after a holiday.
- Must live within 75 miles of the facility.
Scheduling:
- Four 10-hour shifts per week (10:00 AM - 8:30 PM).
- No block scheduling.
