Production Specialist

Sigma Design has collaborated with a local industrial company seeking an experienced
Production Specialist to join their facility in Vancouver, WA. This company works on projects for the Aerospace, Defense, Energy and Infrastructure Industries.

Primary Function: The Production Specialist is responsible for supporting data analysis and technology integration across marine fabrication projects. Acting as a key link between project management, production teams, and business systems, this role ensures that processes and tools are effectively leveraged to drive better-than-bid results across multiple shipyard locations.
Essential Job Functions - Responsibilities: - Forecast and analyze current and future staffing needs for project, production, and support teams.
- Develop, implement, and manage software systems that support production planning and project tracking.
- Partner with planning teams to create and refine work packages.
- Provide technology and business systems training to project managers, superintendents, and craft leads.
- Support Lean Fabrication initiatives by identifying and implementing process improvements.
- Use data analytics and reporting tools to monitor and enhance project performance.
- Lead or contribute to business-wide projects aimed at improving operational efficiency.
Education and Experience: (Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities)- Bachelor's Degree Engineering, Business, Supply Chain, or a related technical discipline required
- Minimum of 3 years experience in project planning, staffing, and execution of labor-intensive, multi-phased projects.
- Experience working with ERP, scheduling, and analytical tools in a manufacturing or fabrication setting.
- Strong understanding of fabrication workflows and manufacturing planning processes.
- Financial and analytical skills related to labor tracking and cost efficiency.
- Proficient in software environments focused on data processing, analytics, and scheduling.
- Excellent communication skills for cross-functional collaboration and knowledge sharing.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and drive results independently.
- Demonstrated ownership mindset and a proactive, problem-solving approach.
- Ability to influence outcomes and lead initiatives outside of direct supervisory scope.
- Must be a US Citizen.
- Background and drug screen - pass a post-offer background verification and drug screen.
Work Environment Standard machine shop environment with various types of machinery. Appropriate safety garments (PPE) must be worn. Must be able to stand and work as long as 12 hours in different positions. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted.
