Pulmonology - Critical Care Physician, Hospital affiliated Multi-specialty Group

A Hospital affiliated multi-specialty group, which includes physicians, mid-levels, and support staff, and is dedicated to serving the needs of the community is seeking a Pulmonology/Critical Care physician.

The Pulmonology/Critical Care physician will examine, obtain medical history, and treat acute and chronic illnesses. Order, perform and interpret diagnostic tests. Create treatment plans and involve patients and family members in those plans. Initiate appropriate specialty referrals.

Collaborate on improvement in care delivery and service with management, other physicians, and staff. Work with practice management to ensure compliance with billing and coding requirements. Provide on call coverage for pulmonology and critical care. Call rotation is 1 in 3. Breakdown of inpatient vs. outpatient is approximately 40% / 60%. Closed ICU. Sign on and relocation bonus. Requirements: Board certified in Pulmonology and Critical Care required. Board certified in Sleep Medicine preferred. Valid and unrestricted Connecticut medical license or ability to obtain. Valid DEA registration and Controlled Substance Certificate.
