Reliability Engineer – Pulp & Paper Industry

Full-Time | Permanent | Plymouth, NC

RL Enterprise Recruiting & Staffing is hiring on behalf of our client, a leading producer of pulp, paper, packaging, tissue, and wood products , for a Reliability Engineer position. This full-time, permanent role offers an opportunity to improve maintenance processes and equipment reliability within a high-performing production facility.

Qualified candidates must have one of the following: (1) Recent graduate with a BS in Mechanical Engineering and a desire to pursue a career in reliability engineering and equipment maintenance. (2) BSME Degree + 5-10 years related experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement sustainable, reliable maintenance processes.
• Plan and schedule preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
• Oversee lubrication routes, vibration analysis, and other reliability techniques.
• Conduct root cause failure analysis (RCFA) and lead corrective action efforts.
• Lead asset strategy development and integrate reliability best practices.
• Identify process and equipment improvements to enhance efficiency and safety.
• Manage and report on maintenance KPIs and support mill-wide projects.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (Reliability or Maintenance preferred).
• Relevant internship or work experience in reliability, maintenance, or process improvement
• Strong commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement .
• Proficient in computer applications related to maintenance and reliability.
• Demonstrated leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Additional Requirements:

• Candidates must successfully complete interviews, background checks, pre-employment drug/alcohol screening, and other assessments as required.
