Job Description

House of Rental is a full service Party, Event, Tool & Equipment Rental company with locations in Skokie established in 1969 serving Chicago and the northern suburbs.

Laborer / Tent Installer

• Installer/ Laborer pulls and loads tents, tables and chairs and equipment into company box trucks.
• You and your crew are responsible for the construction (assembling and disassembling) of tents, delivery and installation of other rental equipment.
• The work is physically demanding, but rewarding. Must be able to move/lift/carry 50 to 70 lbs.
• Wear steel toed boots, company uniform shirt and mask or face covering when necessary. Bring your water bottle and a lunch.
• Work in crews of 3-9 people depending on the job size. When not out in the field, you will also assist with organizing equipment and other warehouse duties.
• Clean and sanitize all rental equipment using ready-to-rent quality standards.
• Load, unload and organize rental equipment in the warehouse.

Competencies/Characteristics

• Knowledge of Party, Tent & Rental Equipment is a plus.
• Takes pride in a job well done.
• Has strong independent and teamwork skills.
• Must be able to work some Saturdays. Must have reliable transportation to work.
• We are willing to train the right candidate if you are willing to learn.
