Job Title: Surgical Technician Location: DTLA Job Type: Registry Compensation: $30-$38 per hour (Based on Experience) Join our dedicated surgical team in a fast-paced hospital setting. We seek skilled Surgical Technicians to assist with orthopedic surgeries. You will play a crucial role in maintaining the sterile field, ensuring efficiency, and supporting optimal patient care. Key Responsibilities: + Prepare and maintain the sterile field for surgical procedures. + Pass instrumentation only to Residents during operations. + Ensure surgical instruments and equipment are properly sterilized and functioning. + Maintain accurate counts of sponges, needles, and instruments before, during, and after procedures. + Work with Pharmacy and assist with STAT testing as needed. + Support patient care activities under RN supervision when not in the operating room. + Assist with triaging and follow infection control protocols. Qualifications: + High School Diploma or GED required. + CST preferred but NOT required. + OB experience is mandatory. + BLS certification from the American Heart Association. + Fire Card/MAB certification. + 3-5 years of experience in a Hospital. + Strong knowledge of aseptic technique and surgical instrumentation. + Ability to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays. Training & Onboarding: + No formal training provided; orientation will last 4-6 hours upon arrival. Preferred Qualifications: + Experience in a high-volume unit. + Familiarity with electronic medical records (CHMC uses Cerner, though EPIC experience is also valuable). + Cerner YouTube Training Videos available for review before onboarding. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $38.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
